In recent years, traditional processors have not been able to directly translate chip fabrication technology advances intro performance gains. To keep satisfying the demand for computing power, there is a shift from homogeneous machines to heterogeneous highly parallel architectures combining different kinds of processors (CPUs, GPUs, DSPs, FPGAs, and other accelerators). While this approach has allowed significant performance and energy efficiency benefits, heterogeneous systems are often highly difficult to program with existing tools. To reduce the cost of system development, reengineering techniques emerge as a solution which may help to balance ease-of-development with better performance, better reliability, and lower maintenance costs.
The RePara 2018 workshop aims to join experts from related disciplines to share recent advances in different areas contributing to better transformation of new and legacy applications to different programming models for diverse computing devices in the context of parallel heterogeneous architectures.

Accepted paper will be published in a volume of Lecture Notes in Computer Science (Springer) with all other EuroPar 2018 workshop papers.
Extended version of selected papers from the workshop will be invited by the RePara 2018 program committee for publication in an international journal special issue after further revision.
All previous editions of RePara workshop have led to special issues at Journal of Supercomputing (Springer, ISSN: 0920-8542, Impact Factor 2016: 1.326). We are currently negotiating a new special issue in this journal ofr RePara 2018.
Papers submitted to the workshop should be written in English conforming Lecture Notes in Computer Science format. The paper should be submitted through the workshop submission system at EasyChair. The length of the papers should bet at least 10 pages and not exceed 12 pages.
Accepted papers that are presented at the workshop will be published in revised form in a special Euro-Par Workshop Volume in the Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) series after the Euro-Par conference.
Submitting a paper to the workshop means that, if the paper is accepted, at least one author should attend the workshop and present the paper.
Please email inquiries concerning the workshop to J. Daniel Garcia (email@example.com) or Marco Danelutto (firstname.lastname@example.org).
