Dear community,
We would like to announce that the detailed programme of DATE 2022 is available online and cordially invite registrations to join us in celebrating another exciting edition of the conference – the top scientific event in Design, Automation and Test of microelectronics and embedded systems for the academic and industrial research communities worldwide!
We have been planning a special format for DATE 2022, aiming at bringing back the community together after two editions online, trying to balance the uncertainty of the situation and the desire to be partially back in presence. A special programme has been organized to start the conference with two days in presence, full of outstanding talks and moments to meet and chat.
However, the current situation of the covid-19 infections across Europe and the consequent travelling/quarantine restrictions adopted by governments, companies and institutions have a strong impact on our health concerns and travelling opportunities, for speakers as well as attendees.
The “in presence” experience remains a fundamental aspect of any conference and of DATE in the specific, for its many networking moments, as well as for the social activities, however the safety of the community is once more a priority. Therefore, after thoughtful discussion, the DATE Steering Committee opted to move DATE 2022 to a completely virtual event, moving the program of the first two days online also.
Although there is no way to mitigate the disappointment of not being able to meet in person, we trust the rich and interesting program will bring us together online to comment and contribute to the exciting talks and conversations with the speakers and authors of full DATE 2022 programme.
The Technical Programme Committee composed of 344 members reviewed and selected 183 for regular presentation and 66 for an interactive presentation, for a final acceptance rate of 25%.
The conference will open on March 14 and the first two days of conference, the one planned in presence, will begin with live and interactive keynote lectures by Valeria Bertacco and Eduardo Charbon, to be followed by special talks and panels on emerging topics, and two lunch keynotes.
The focus is on “From Quantum to Neuromorphic Computing” and “Interpretable AI and Nanoelectronics-Based Designs of edge computing systems in the IoT 2.0 Era”. DATE 2022 will also again host a special initiative on “Autonomous Design Systems”.
The following conference days will cover DATE scientific sessions, organized in parallel track from the four areas
D – Design Methods & Tools
A – Application Design
T – Test, Reliability, and Robustness
E – Embedded and Cyber-physical Systems
for both the regular papers and the interactive presentations and results/lessons learned from Multi-Partner Projects.
The programme is complemented by more focused sessions, the Young People Program, including the PhD Forum, University Fair, BarCamp, Career Fair and Sponsorship Fair, for networking/career opportunities.
Moreover, six in depth technical tutorials, ten full day workshops, and the Diversity in EDA forum complete the programme.
The conference platform will open one month in advance with all recorded presentations of the accepted regular papers, for participants to onboard on the new contributions and advances in research. During the online sessions authors will briefly pitch their contribution and engage in fruitful Q&A sessions with participants.
