ICCD 2021 – Call for Special Sessions and Tutorial Proposals
The 39th IEEE International Conference on Computer Design
The International Conference on Computer Design (ICCD) encompasses a wide range of topics in the research, design, and implementation of computer systems and their components. ICCD’s multi-disciplinary emphasis provides an ideal environment for developers and researchers to discuss practical and theoretical work covering systems and applications, computer architecture, verification and test, design tools and methodologies, circuit design, and technology. Researchers both from academia and industry are invited to submit proposals for special sessions. A special session could consist of a set of individual presentations or a panel. The special sessions should aim at providing a complementary experience with respect to the regular sessions. Hence, sessions focusing on hot topics of interest to the community (e.g., blockchains, deep learning compilers and accelerators, open-source design infrastructure, and quantum computing) that may also go beyond disciplines traditionally represented at ICCD are particularly welcome.
Special Session Proposal Submission
* A single PDF file including the following information:
-
Title of special session;
-
Rationale of the need for the special session at ICCD. The rationale should stress the novelty of the topic and/or its multidisciplinary flavor, and must explain how it is different from the subjects covered by the regular sessions;
-
Short biography of the organizers;
-
List of contributed presentations (including titles, presenters, contact information of the corresponding presenter, and an abstract of each contribution). For panel proposals, list the panelists and their area of expertise.
-
Accepted papers will be published as short papers in the proceeding (4-page), and at least one author is required to have full speaker registration.
* Proposals are due on or before July 2, 2021 11:59 pm (AoE) and should be submitted through EasyChair (https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=iccd2021) (Special Sessions). Please reach Special Session Chairs, Esha Choukse and Cunxi Yu (esha.choukse@microsoft.com, cunxi.yu@utah.edu) if you have any questions.
