The first-ever Workshop on Languages, Tools, and Techniques for Accelerator Design (LATTE) will happen at ASPLOS 2021. The workshop is on applying programming languages and compilers research for designing custom accelerators. The goal is to coalesce the emerging energy in the programming languages & architecture communities toward supplanting traditional HDLs with better, more modern languages and tools. By making hardware design more like software development, this realm of research has an opportunity to deliver on the promise of pervasive hardware specialization for all of computing—not just a few high-value applications.

You are cordially invited to attend, discuss, and to submit 2-page position papers. These papers need not be traditional “research papers”: we are also interested in in-progress work, opinionated essays, retrospectives, and other unconventional conversation starters. The deadline for position papers is February 25.
