Applications for the Fourth Annual Undergrad Architecture Mentoring (uArch) Workshop are now open.

The workshop is currently scheduled to be held in-person as part of the International Symposium on Computer Architecture (ISCA 2022), and is aimed at undergraduate and early master’s students with an interest in computer architecture. We expect the workshop will most benefit students who will receive their degree in 2023 or 2024 and are considering graduate study. Everyone is welcome to apply (women and people from underrepresented groups are particularly encouraged). The workshop:

  • Introduces students to the challenges and research opportunities in the field of computer architecture.

  • Offers networking opportunities with professors in the field of computer architecture. Last year, professors from ~40 universities were uArch mentors (see last year’s website).

  • Provides sessions and panels with professors and current students on how to apply for and thrive in graduate school & navigate the architecture research landscape effectively.

You may apply to attend either virtually or in-person.  The in-person grant covers travel to New York and registration fees (and is more selective).  The virtual grant covers just registration fees.  Both options include participation in the networking event, which is held virtually.
