System and Architecture for Generative AI on the Edge/Mobile Platforms @ MICRO 2023 (Toronto, Canada) is an interdisciplinary workshop that brings together researchers in computer architecture and systems and machine learning. This workshop is meant to serve as a platform to promote discussions between researchers in the workshop’s target areas. Subject areas of the workshop included (but not limited to):

  1. Mobile-specific architectural designs for generative AI models

  2. System-level optimizations for efficient execution of generative AI on mobile devices

  3. Energy-efficient techniques for training and inference of generative AI models

  4. Model compression methods, such as sparsification and quantization, for reducing the memory footprint of generative AI on mobile platforms

  5. Federated learning and collaborative techniques for training generative AI models on distributed mobile devices

  6. Privacy-preserving and secure frameworks for generative AI on mobile platforms

  7. Integration of generative AI into mobile applications and services

  8. Case studies and real-world deployments of generative AI on mobile platforms
  9. Wild and crazy ideas (WACI) of generative AI use cases
